Alma E. Little, age 78, of Union County, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013.
Alma was born in the Suches community of Union County, on April 7, 1935 to the late Charlie Abercrombie and the late Callie Harkins Abercrombie. Alma died suddenly on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Union General Hospital. Alma lived the majority of her life in Union County, having been a homemaker and caregiver. Alma was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Suches. At the time of Alma's death, she was residing at Union County Nursing Home. Alma loved animals and looked forward to the days when dogs, goats, llamas, etc. were allowed to come visit the nursing home.
Preceding Alma in death are her siblings: Myrtle Burnette, Garnie Abercrombie, Gertrude Tweatt, John Abercrombie and Emory Abercrombie.
Surviving Alma are nephews: Bo and wife Debbie of Blairsville; Joe of Shreveport, Louisiana; nieces Shirley of Athens, Georgia; Debbie and husband Jimmy of Buford, Georgia; and niece Karen. Several great nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends also survive Alma.
There was no visitation held at the funeral home. Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 3:00 p.m., at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews and great nephews.
