Anne Barrett Atkinson

The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces memorial services for Anne Atkinson, age 88, of Young Harris, GA who went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. She died at her home peacefully in her sleep while surrounded by her children who loved her dearly.

Anne was a proud UGA graduate, a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was an active member of Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Atkinson, and is survived by her children: Fran Li (Veech), John Atkinson (Jo), Tina Flynn and George B. Atkinson (fiancee' Doris Taylor), four grandchildren: Garrett Atkinson (Mary Jacquelin), Elise Atkinson, Barrett Johnson (Ashlee), Courtney Lotz (Cameron), Maya Taylor and four great-grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 at Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church, Young Harris. In lieu of flowers please make donations to: Sharp Memorial Church Food Pantry or The Pastor's Discretionary Fund.
