Barbara Ruth Medlin (Pietrowski)

Barbara Ruth Pietrowski Medlin,beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, age 64 of Murphy, passed away December 10, 2012 at the Murphy medical Center. Mrs. Medlin was born August 13, 1948 in Toledo, OH to the late Leonard Frank and Ruth Helen Borschardt Pietrowski. A member of United Methodist Church in Murphy, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Cleveland. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and making blankets for her grand kids, cooking, spending time with her family, making herbal soaps and being a hippy chick. She found joy in every situation and her love of life was contagious. She will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her loving husband of 38 years, Vernon Medlin, Sr., daughter & son-in-law, Lisa & Gary Coates, son & daughter-in-law, Vernon Jr. & Sheila Medlin, four grandchildren, Paisley Coates, Ana Clara, Lenny, and Eddie Medlin, mother-in-law, Sadie Elsie Medlin, aunt & uncle, Lela & Paul Silwester and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also her fur babies Primus and Zoey.

A memorial service will be held at the Medlin residence, 101 Hawthorne Ln, Murphy, NC 28906, on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 12:00 pm.
