Mrs. Bette A. Kaufman, age 78, of Murphy, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017, Mrs. Kaufman was born November 4, 1938, in Milford, MA to the late Grace Sutherland. Coming from Florida, she had made Murphy her home for the past 24 years. She was a member of Appalachian Heritage Crafters Outreach, an accomplished artist in Oils and other mediums.
Survivors include son, John Fredrick Kaufman III, daughters, Joanne Melo and Letitia Collins, brother,
Raymond Heaton, sisters, Janice Corso and Sandra Sullivan, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Four Seasons Hospice 571 South Allen Road Flat Rock NC 28731
