The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces the death of Betty Ann Johnson, age 78 who passed away on Wednesday morning, January 3, 2018 at Stonehenge Assisted Living.
Betty Ann (Betsy) Johnson aka Ruth Ann Johnson was born May 24, 1939 to Edward and Helen Johnson in Waterbury, CT. She was the youngest of 5 children. She moved to Sarasota, Florida where she became a registered nurse. She dedicated her live to caring for others including rescuing dogs, cats and even horses. She never married and considered them her children.
Betsy moved to Blairsville 2017 to be close to her niece and her husband Wendy & Bryan Mascoe of Blairsville. She is also survived by her niece Ellen Stoddard of Bristol, CT and a nephew Robert Johnson of Torrington, CT.
