Ms. Betty Jane Brock, age 87 of Marble, NC, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008.
Ms. Brock was born Monday, July 4, 1921 in Bedford Indiana to the late Thurley Clinton Cross and the late Nell Alice Brown Cross. She was a member of Peachtree United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband F.L. "Bud" Brock.
Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, John C. & Johnnie Brock of Hudson, Fl., son & daughter-in-law, William E. & Clara M. Huskins Brock of Denver, N.C. 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 17, 2008 at 2:00pm from the Peachtree United Methodist Church with Mr. Leroy Coker and Rev. Harry Hawk officiating. Interment will follow in Peachtree Memorial Baptist Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Paul Norton, Dakota Gibson, Keegan Rankin, Dawn Fairbanks, Anna Fairbanks and Skip Huskins. Honorary pallbearers include: Brock Rankin, Brandon Fairbanks, Justin Brock, Jared Brock and John Brock II.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, November 17 from 12:00 noon till 1:45 p.m..
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to Peachtree United Methodist Church.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy, North Carolina is in charge of arrangements.
