Mrs. Betty Jean Cole, age 67, of Morganton, GA passed away October 1, 2009 at her home in Morganton, Georgia.
Mrs. Cole was born on January 19, 1942 in Cherokee County, NC to Wayne & Bessie Cornwell Rogers. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by parents, Wayne & Bessie Rogers, brother, Junior Rogers, brother, Dewey Rogers, sister, Mary Ann Jones, great-grandchild, Shayleigh Cole .
Survivors include: husband, Jewell Cole, son & daughter-in-law, Lynn & Lynn Cole of Mineral Bluff, son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Debbie Cole of McCaysville, daughter & son-in-law, Karen & Robert Alderson of Mineral Bluff, daughter & son-in-law, Beverly & Wayne Harper of Mineral Bluff, 9-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, niece, Patty Thomas of Murphy.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 2:00pm from the Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Mann and Rev. Phillip Weeks officiating. Music will be provided by the Caylor Family. Pallbearers will be Nathan Alderson, Brent Cole, Jason Cole, Chris Alderson, Jacob Harper and Troy McDaris. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Culberson, NC. Honorary Pallbearer, Don Mosteller.
The family will recive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 2:00-9:00pm .
