Bill Mack, age 81, of Hiawassee, GA passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 in Demorest, Georgia.
Bill was born on Monday, November 19, 1928 in Dickson, TN, to the late Washington Clark and Hesta Volena Riddings Mack. He was a member of Hiawassee United Methodist Church, the Southern Bell Telephone Pioneers and an U.S. Air Force Veteran during the Korean Conflict. Bill was preceded in death by wife, Kathryn Frances Mack.
Survivors include: son, Willam Clark Mack of Hiawassee, GA, daughter, Volena Ann Mack Cummings of Dacula, GA, granddaughter, Bekki Elyse Cummings, grandson, Jake Andrew Cummings and a brother & sister-in-law, James and Margaret Mack of Lexington, KY.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Connell officiating. Pallbearers will be William Clark Mack, Jake Andrew Cummings and Mayo Cummings. Burial will follow in Laurel Hills Memory Gardens with military honors conducted by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at Cochran Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 6 until 8 PM.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to Towns County Humane Society.
