Birda Bennett Williams, age 85, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Fannin Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Williams was born on Saturday, September 27, 1924 in Fannin County GA, to Samuel and Minnie Belle Edwards Bennett. She was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by daughter, Joy Sue Williams, husband, Raymond Arnold Williams, grandson, James Raymond Collins, son, James (Jim) Edwards Williams.
Survivors include: daughters, Sandi (Jim) Collins of Copperhill, Pat (Maynard) Roper of Powder Springs, son, Raymond (Mary) Williams of White, Ga. daughter in law, Debra Williams of Blue Ridge, Brothers, Don Bennett of Mineral Bluff and Wendell Bennett of Blue Ridge, granddaughters, Angie (John) Roper Rice, Julia Conner, Rebecca (Andrew) Moffett, Jennifer (Daniel) Collins Stewart, grandsons, Jeff Roper, Jamie (Beverly) Williams, great-grandchildren, Tyler Roper, Casey Roper, Jack Roper, Matthew Rice, Scott Fackelman, Matthew Fackelman, Brandon Williams, Whitney Rice, Josie Stewart, Luke Moffett and Kylie Grace Moffett.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Braswell officiating.. Graveside services will follow in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Patterson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
