Bobbie G. Lance Everett

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie G. Lance Everett, age 82, native and lifelong resident of Blairsville, who passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016, in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.

Mrs. Everett was born on June 30, 1933, in Blairsville, a daughter of the late James Washington Lance and the late Malissa Adeline Spiva Lance. She was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church, and she loved gospel music. Everyone knew that Bobbie's greatest joy was her family and friends, and that she loved her sister-in-law Lougene's cooking! Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Butler Everett, and her parents, and 21 brothers and sisters.

Left behind to treasure her memory are family members: son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Ray and Donna Everett, of Blairsville; sister-in-law, Lougene Lance, of Blairsville; sister-in-law Barbara Ann Everett, of Blairsville; and sister-in-law Sue Berry (Cecil) Everett, of Ft. Payne, Alabama; two grandchildren: Daniel James Everett of Atlanta and Jane Marie Lamb, of Blairsville; two great grandchildren: Russell Harkins of Blairsville, and Keegan Everett of Calhoun, Georgia; over 100 nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville. The family has requested the following gentlemen serve as pallbearers: Bobby Lance, Marshall Lance, Steve Byers, Darrell Shook, Kenneth Cook, and Jeff Butt. Requested to serve as honorary escort to the family are the following: Frank Wimpey, Dean Wimpey, Fulmer Lance, and Champ Lance, Jr. Burial will be in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery, where Bobbie will be laid to rest next to her husband, Butler. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday evening, January 11, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
