Bobbie Jean West (Moody)

Mrs. Bobbie Jean West, age 73 of Andrews, passed away September 20, 2012 at the Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. Mrs. West was born July 26, 1939 in Graham Co., to the late Shafter and Ada Holloway Moody. A member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dillard Moody and Wade Moody. Bobbie loved listening to gospel music and she loved taking care of her family, especially her granddaughter Jessica.

Survivors include her loving husband, Buddy Carol West, daughter, Elisabeth and Scott Rogers, daughter, Tammy West, sister, Corena Lelms, sister, Geneva Blaylock, sister, Phyllis Davis, sister, Maburl Tincher, brother, Joe Moody, brother, Leonard Moody, one granddaughter, Jessica and Will Wright, also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the Sweet Gum Baptist Church in Robbinsville with the Reverends Randy Collins and Kenny Ball officiating. Special music will be provided by Donna Bell, Steve, Chanda, Madison, and Branson Bias, Lisa Waters, Anna Lisa Collins, and Breanna Whitehead. Interment will be in the Red Marble Baptist Church on Sunday. The gentlemen serving as Pallbearers include Steve Bias, Ronnie Waldroup, Donald Ray Johnson, Tim Moody, Lane Baxter, and Danny Stalcup. Honorary Pallbearers are Branson Bias, Oden Watts and Billy McMahan.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 5-7pm.
