Bonnie Ledford Gribble
January 16, 1929 — January 5, 2012
Bonnie Ledford Gribble, age 82 of Hiawassee, passed away January 5, 2012 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. Mrs. Gribble was born January 16, 1929 in Hayesville, NC to the late Lish and the late Paralee Ledford of Hayesville. She was a member of Lower Bell Creek Baptist Church in Hiawassee.
Bonnie was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Her Smile lit up each time she saw the children. She had a great love for her home and family, but her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior. Mrs Gribble was preceded in death by a grandson, Darrell Gribble, a Brother, Robert Ledford and 3sisters, Louella Nicholson, Era Byers and Ruth Stanley.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Alton Gribble of Hiawassee, sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Barbara Gribble and Michael and Patsy Gribble of Hayesville, NC and Joel and Lorie Gribble of Peachtree, NC and daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Claude Jr. Kitchens, of Hayesville 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; sister, Moniree Ledford, of Clayton, Georgia, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Ledford officiating. Music will be provided by: Freida NIcholson and Jane Henson. Interment will follow in the Lower Bell Creek Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jason Gribble, Brendon Gray, Michael Anderson, Henry Jenkins, Devon Brown and Randy Brown.
The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Saturday, January 07, 2012 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
