Buford Arp

Buford Arp, age 95 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Pruitt Health Care Center in Blue Ridge. He was born December 21, 1923, in Blue Ridge, GA, to the late Homer Pearl Arp and Nora Bell Arp. Buford was a US Army Veteran serving during World War II, a member of Temple Baptist Church, and was ordained as a deacon there in 1956; he retired from AT&T in Atlanta. He was preceded in death by wife, Eloise Mason Arp, siblings, Fred Arp, Lois Gladson, Montene Henson, and Hazel Arp, granddaughter, Michelle Strickland, great-granddaughter, Stephanie Bloom great-great-grandson Benjamin Bloom.

Survivors include: daughters, Judy A. (Ronnie) Bennett, and Regina (Danny) Parris, grandchildren , Mike (Lisa) Parris, and Daryn (Tammy) Bennett, great-grandchildren, Kristi (Jason) Robinson, Kelli (Will) Burnett, Richard (Nina) Owen, Lizzie Bennett, Ryan Bennett, Brooke Owen, and Mac Smith, great-great-grandchildren, J.P. Bloom, Audrey Bloom.

Funeral services: Friday, October 25, 2019, 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Parris and Dr. Roger Beck officiating. Music provided by Greg Norton and Gil Farmer. Interment will follow in Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens with military honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Pallbearers: Danny Sanders, Steve Watkins, Bill Kendall, Daryn Bennett, Ted Weaver, and Roger Beck.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Friday, October 25, 2019, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
