C. W. Woody

C. W. Woody, age 70 of Suches, GA passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at his home. Mr. Woody was born December 17, 1949, in Ellijay, GA to the late Emerson Woody and Jessie Davenport Woody. A member of Salem #1 Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his father, Emerson Woody. C.W. was an avid turkey hunter and outdoorsman who also enjoyed fishing and deer hunting, recording the 6th largest deer antlers in Fannin County per Georgia Outdoor News. He was a beloved husband, brother, son, stepfather and uncle strong in body and soul, an inspiration to many.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Linda Stowe Woody, mother, Jessie Woody, brothers, Clyde (Jeannine) Woody, Randall Woody, and Howard (Marie) Woody, sister, Pauline (Solon) Pless, step-son, Chandler Collar, step-daughter, Brittany Collar, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services: Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 2:00 pm at the Salem # 1'Sugarhill' Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Garrett officiating. Pallbearers: Robert Woody, Michael Harper, Daniel Murphy, Jason Booker, Arnold Watkins, and Ray Watkins. Honorary pallbearers: Clyde Woody, Randall Woody, and Howard Woody.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA Saturday, June 20, 2020, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm.
