Cecelia Bibby, age 84 of Blue Ridge, who passed away November 14, 2012 at Brasstown Manor was born February 20, 1928 to Frank Bibby and Mary Collum Bibby in LA, Calf. Bibby was a U.S. Navy veteran, a NASA Mercury 7 Artist, creator of the NASA space ship insignias: Friendship 7, Aurora 7, & Sigma 7, she was a member of the Blue Ridge Mountain Arts Association, Morganton Homemakers Club, The Apple Dumpling Gang, and the local Geneology group.
She is lovingly survived by brother, Frank (Patty) Bibby, Jr., and many special friends locally and globally.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec 1, 2012 at 11:00am in the Henry-Cochran Funeral Chapel with the Father, Victor Morgan officiating. Interment will take place at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
