A member of the First United Methodist Church in Copperhill, TN, he was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Roberta Jean ("Bobbie Jean") Reagan Beckler of Danville, Arkansas.
David was a nearly life-long resident of Ducktown. He graduated from Ducktown High School in 1956 and went on to earn both bachelors and masters degrees in Education.
