Dorothy Lee Bennie

Dorothy Lee Bennie, age 89 of McCaysville, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018, at Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Mrs. Bennie was born February 2, 1928, in Reliance, TN to the late Herbert Wilcox and the late Sarepta Campbell Wilcox. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church; she loved taking care of her family, cooking, yard work, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bennie.

Survivors include sons, Gary Bennie, Larry Bennie, and Randy (Janice) Bennie, daughter, Patty (Jerry) Falls, grandchildren, James, Misty, Laura, Katie, Blake, Miranda, and Cody, great-grandchildren, Jamie, Caden, and Easton.

Funeral services: Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Baugh officiating. Music provided by Seth Davis and Kaitlyn Dickey. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers: Blake Stewart, Don Bennie, Scott Bennie, Rodney Patterson, Cody Falls, and Jerry Falls.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Tuesday, January 2, 2018, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
