Charles Edward Dockery, age 53 of Murphy, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Murphy Medical Center. Eddie was born Friday, June 25, 1954 in Cherokee County. A member of New Martins Creek Baptist Church, He was preceded in death by mother, Ruby Agnes Chastain, brother, Paul Aguilera and sister, Robin Newton.
Survivors include: Brother, Grady Whitener of Murphy; 3 Nephews, Trevor Newton, Grady Newton, Grady Steven Whitener, Jr.; and Niece Jennifer Marie Metais.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 7:00PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Ray Morgan and Rev. Hoyt Brown officiating. Music will be provided by Lamar Chastain, Donna Sue Crisp, Dennis McCoy and Steve Chastain. Interment will follow in the New Martin's Creek Baptist Cemetery Wednesday morning at 10:00AM. Pallbeares will be Jimmy Stalcup,Buzz Stalcup, Steve Sneed, Harry Little, Bruce Little, and Keith Owensby. Honoray Pallbeares will be cousins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, January 15, from 5-7PM.
After the funeral service on Tuesday the family will meet at the Martins Creek Community Center.
