Edna Lee Hedden

Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory announces the death and funeral services for Mrs. Edna Lea Carr Hedden, age 64, of Blairsville, who passed away on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.

Mrs. Hedden was born in Copperhill, Tennessee, a daughter of the late John Wesley Carr, Sr. and the late Virdie Payne Carr. She was a lifelong resident of Blairsville, and was of the Baptist faith. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Doug Carr, Leon Carr, and Wesley Carr.

Mrs. Hedden leaves behind her loving family members to cherish her memory: husband, Terry, of Blairsville; daughter, Tonya Lee Hedden, of Blairsville; Sisters: Jean Jones, of Canton, Georgia, Sue Griffith, of Epworth, Georgia, Amelia Craig, of Douglasville, Georgia, Annette Carr, of Ellijay, Georgia, Marijoyce Porcelli, of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Margaret Ann McClain, of Adairsville, Georgia. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hedden have been scheduled for Saturday, August 17, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville, with Rev. Ned Wilcoxon officiating. Special music will be presented by Kelly Brewer, Ned Wilcoxon, and Doris Hefner. The following gentlemen have been requested to serve as pallbearers: Dylan Henson, Keith Brewer, Colin Davis, Ron Winkler, J.M. Dyer, William Winkler and Jack Brown. Burial will be in Coosa United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening, between the hours of 6 until 9 p.m.
