Edward Peter Schmidt

Mr. Edward Peter Schmidt, age 82 of Blue Ridge, passed away January 8, 2013 at Piedmont Health Care. Mr. Schmidt was born November 7, 1930 in Elyria, Ohio to the late Martin Schmidt and Suzane Draser Schmidt. A member of Sheperd of the Hills Luthern Church.
Mr. Schmidt served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and retired from the F.A.A.
Survivors include: wife, Rev. Cheryl Kester-Schmidt, daughter & son-in-law, Karen (John) Cundiff, daughter & son-in-law, Rev. Janet (Rev. Paul) Chilcote, daughter, Linda Putnam, daughter &son-in-law, Diane (Tin) Conyers, daughter, Melissa Hoffman, son, Mathew Hoffman.
Memorial services: Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church with the Rev. Cheryl Kester-Schmidt officiating.
