Eston Garfield Collins

Mr. Eston Garfield Collins, age 90 of Morganton, GA, passed away June 25, 2015 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Mr. Collins was born February 22, 1925 in Morganton, GA to the late George Collins and the late Laura Grant Collins. A member of Toccoa Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by father, George Collins, mother, Laura Grant Collins.

Mr. Collins served as a World War II veteran. Eston was awarded a Purple Heart. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include: wife, Joyce Eunice Collins, son, Steve (Cindy) Collins, daughter, Rhonda Collins, grandchildren, Clint (Holly) Davenport, Caleb (Tanna) Barnes, Austin Collins & Anborah Collins, great-grandchild, Clay Davenport, Darian Davenport, Graylen Davenport, Meleah Davenport, Addelyn Barnes & Trevor Barnes.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Toccoa Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Weeks officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include Clint Davenport, Caleb Barnes, Austin Collins, Clay Davenport, Daniel Collins & Chad Galloway. Honorary pallbearers: Winston Collins, Randy Collins, Russell Daves, Rick Daves, Wayne Allen Cruse, Clyde Cruse, Scott Cruse, Steven Cruse, Wendall Whitley, David Collins & Franklin Collins.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Saturday, June 27, 2015, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
