Evelyn Virginia Sisson

Mrs. Evelyn Virginia Sisson, age 85, of Copperhill, passed away May 21, 2012 at Copper Basin Medical Center. Mrs.Sisson was born December 15, 1926 in McCaysville, GA to the late Antonio Nari and the late Eva Lee Carver . She was a member of Mount Harmony Church in Isabella. Evelyn enjoyed solving puzzles,bird watching, and spending time with family,

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hubert Sisson, daughter, Debra Elrod, daughter in law, Judy Plemmons Sisson, sister, Mattie Lou Gobble, sister, Loretta Ware, sister, Eileen Richards, and sister, Hilda Matthews, and brother, Sonny Nari.

Survivors include: daughter, Judy (Max) Arp; son, Ray Sisson; sister, Ann Lee Stepp; brother in law, Ted (Deloris) Sisson; brother in law, Tommy Ware; sister in law, Bertha Nari; nieces and nephews, grandchildren, Rhonda Dillard, Teresa Johnson, Tammy Jones, Billy Sisson, Stephen Arp, and Phil (Ashley) Underwood; great grandchildren, Amber Dillard, Emma Dillard, Madison Arp, Casey Arp, Will Jones, Erica Jones, Erin Jones, Zach Johnson, Gracie Johnson, Micah Johnson, Aayla Bates, Austin Bates, Allison Longwith, nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside service: Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Roy Clore officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Britt Jones, Ronnie Dillard, Hoyt Johnson, and Zach Johnson. The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
