Frances Payne Brown

Frances Payne Brown, age 82, of Turtletown, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Brown was born October 3, 1938, in McCaysville, GA to the late Roy Godfrey and the late Della Poteet Godfrey. She was a member of the Ocoee Church of Christ and had worked at Copper Basin Medical Center in the Medical Records Department. Frances enjoyed reading, gardening, and beach vacations. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Godfrey, mother, Della Poteet Godfrey, first husband, Wilford Payne, second husband, Ted Brown, and brother, Clinton Godfrey.

Survivors include her daughter, Eva (Rick) Newberry, sisters, Patsy Watkins and Donna (Larry) Watkins, brother, Tony (Theresa) Godfrey, grandchildren, Stephen Angel, Michael Angel, Tedra (Joe) Herrington, Brook Norton, Laura (Brady) Lloyd, great-grandchildren, Riley Angel, Brodey Angel, Isaiah Angel, Olivia Angel, Lucas Angel, Avrey Angel, Kaeden Twiggs, Keelah Twiggs, Della Herrington, Amelia Herrington, Kaylee (Parker) Brown, Alexandria Norton, and Landon Norton, and great-great-grandchild, Elliana Brown.

Funeral services: Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 4:00 pm from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Terry Stuart officiating. Interment in the Crestlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Riley Angel, Brodey Angel, Isaiah Angel, Kaeden Twiggs, Larry Watkins, Jr., Chris Watkins, James Watkins, Jr., Mitchell Godfrey, and Corey Godfrey.

Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
