Gary Garren, age 58, of Morganton, Ga, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011at his home.
He was born March 28, 1952 to the late Ralph Garren and Dorothy Garren. He worked in construction and built many beautiful homes in the area. He enjoyed showing horses, hunting, Nascar racing, and being outdoors. He was a member of Epworth Baptist Church.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Deena and Travis Norton and grandchildren Brooke and Tyler Norton; Fiance, Lisa McConnell and step-daughter, Christa Hamill; mother, Dorothy Garren; brothers, Jerry Garren, Greg (Gig) Garren, Rick Garren, and Scott Garren; sisters, Shirley Shepherd, Tammy Daly, and Barbie Garren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Concord Baptist Church with Reverend Tom Jordan officiating. The gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Mitchell Aaron, Mark Clemmons, Donnie Kendall, Darell Cruse, Steven Cruse, Rick Garren, Colby Shepherd, and Doug Hughes. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.
