George Buckner

George Hayden Buckner, age 65, of Morganton, passed away February 3, 2019, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. He was born September 27, 1953, in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Buckner was a master carpenter and painter and enjoyed motorcycles.

Survivors include his mother, Norma Lee Rugg, step-father, Jimmy Rugg, sister, Norma Lea Payton, brother, Michael Edward Rugg, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Wehunt officiating. Interment will follow in Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Wednesday, February 6, 2019, 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm.
