Gertrude Hilde Byrd

Mrs. Gertrude "Trudy" Byrd, age 77 of McCaysville, Georgia, passed away August 9, 2014 at her home with her loving family with her. Mrs. Byrd was born November of 1936 in Germany, to the late Karl Wilhelm and the late Anna Feistle Wilhelm. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Horst & Udo Wilhelm. Trudy was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church. Trudy was loved and will be missed by her family and friends, but knowing she is with her Lord Jesus Christ will give us all peace.

Survivors include: husband, Ronald Byrd, daughter Audrey Byrd, son, Terry Byrd, daughter, Elizabeth Chancey, son and daughter-in-law, Eric (Mona) Byrd, daughter and son-in-law, Heidi (Rodney) Hyatt.

There will be a celebration of life service at the Epworth United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 17, from 4-7 pm.
