Glenda Ruth Collis (Burnett)

Mrs. Glenda Ruth Collis, age 63 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Copper Basin Medical Center. Mrs. Collis was born December 5, 1949 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Jewell and Beutelle Waters Burnett. She was a member of the New River Baptist Church in Epworth, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include loving husband, Phillip Cecil Collis, son, Paul (Jennifer) Collis, son, Chuck (Karen) Collis, son, Neil (Rachael) Collis, sister, Bernice Shields, sister, Jo Farmer, grandchildren, Samantha Collis, Austin Collis, Brittany Collis, Cheyenne Collis, Grant Collis, Blake Gray, and Phillip Collis. Also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Collis officiating. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers include Denton Petty, Jeff Wilson, Craig Dutton, Austin Collis, Grant Collis, and Blake Gray. Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Collis and Danny Shinpaugh.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Friday, September 27, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
