Grace Rebecca Mason, age 88, of Ducktown, TN, passed away Friday, March 14, 2008 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Mrs. Mason was born Tuesday, April 1, 1919 in Blount Co.,TN. to the late Beecher Rutherford and the late Dora Cooley Rutherford. She was an active member of Mine City Baptist Church she worked with WMU, Operation Christmas Child, and was a Sunday School Teacher. Grace loved working with children.
She was preceded in death by husband, Guinn L. Mason.
Survivors include: daughter, Mary Lou Davis of Ducktown, TN, daughter, Gwen Callahan of Boston, MA, son, Dan Mason of Sugar Valley, GA, grandson, Ian Callahan, nieces and nephews, granddaughter, Addie Callahan, grandson, Parker Callahan, grandson, Nathan Mason, and granddaughter, Erin Mason.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Keith Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery (Murphy).
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, March 16, from 4-8PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to Annie Armstrong Offering I.M.B. SBC P.O. Box 6767 Richmond, VA 23230-0767.
