Grene Lee Hawkins, age 81, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021, at his home. Mr. Hawkins was born August 12, 1940, in Murphy, NC to the late Claude Hawkins and the late Lou Hawkins. He was preceded in death by eleven siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Forestine Hawkins, son, Jerry Hawkins, step-sons, Derrick Buchanan and Mike Buchanan, step-daughter, Vickie Davenport, and sister, Alice Champion.
Graveside services: Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from Friendship Baptist Church at 11:00 am with the Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Pallbearers: Mike Buchanan, Derrick Buchanan, Charlie Helton, Scott Rogers, Jim Ware, and Kyle Hawkins.
