Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces memorial services for Mrs. Diane Horne, aged 64, who passed away Tuesday, February 23rd of natural causes.
Diane was born April 20, 1951 in Gainesville, GA to the late Alton and Alma Jones Kemp. She graduated from South Hall High School. Before relocating to Blairsville in 2007, Diane was a cosmetics merchandiser for Neutrogena, and a retail merchandiser for Macy's; while also taking time to be a stay-at-home mother to her two sons. She was currently working at the Gastroenterology Center of NE Georgia. She also was a long time volunteer with the Union County Hospital Auxiliary.
Diane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling the world with her husband, and hanging out with her beloved dog, Charlie.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ronald Horne; their son, Daniel, of Wake Forest, NC; their son, Nathan and his wife, Jana, and their daughter, Nora, of Lebanon, OR.
A memorial service will be held at Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville on Wednesday, March 2, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations can be made in Diane's memory to Union County Hospital Auxiliary, P.O. Box 925, Blairsville, GA 30514 or to the Mountain Shelter Humane Society, P.O. Box 1252, Blairsville, GA 30514.
