Helen Irene Greene

Helen Irene Greene, age 87 of Murphy, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at Murphy Medical Center. Mrs. Greene was born May 20, 1927 in Murphy, NC to the late Bartley Robert Peek and the late Cora Marie Stiles Peek. A member of Grape Creek Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by husband, Frank Greene, son, Doyle Dennis Moore, sister, Norvell Peek, brother, Felix Peek.

Survivors include: daughters, Shirley Wilbanks and Wanda Green, sons, James (Tammy) Greene and Vernon Lee Moore, brother, J.D. Peek, sister, Katherine Davis, twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services: Friday, December 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy with the Rev. Richard Mashburn officiating. Interment will follow in Grape Creek Cemetery . Pallbearers: Dewayne Greene, Charles Moore, Scott Long, Cody Long, Justin Long, Nathan Long and Jonathan Moore. .

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy of Murphy, Friday, December 26, 2014, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
