Howard William Johnson

Howard William Johnson, age 75 of Covington, Ga. formerly of Cherokee County passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Mr. Johnson was born May 3, 1942, in Knoxville, TN to the late Willis Johnson and Ada Kilby Satterfield. He was of the Baptist Faith, retired from C and D Battery after 40 years of service. He enjoyed playing ball with his granddaughter, gardening, raising chickens and was a good cook.

Survivors include wife, Linda Johnson, daughters, Tammy Renne Cummins, and Tabitha Rachelle Johnson Iida, granddaughter, Maci Elizabeth Cummins.

Funeral services: Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 1:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shylan Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Unaka Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Mike Memmers, Dusty Patterson, Jerry Patterson, Creed Patterson, Melvin Patterson, and Kyle Thurman.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home Thursday, March 15, 2018, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
