Hubbie Trout McCray, age 93, of Brasstown, passed away September 27, 2009 at Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home.
She was born on June 8, 1916 in Cherokee County, NC, to Dillard and Effie Payne Trout. She was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and working in her flower garden.. Mrs. McCray was preceded in death by husband, Norman McCray, Brothers, J. D. Trout and Dennis Trout.
Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Louzelle (Neal) Carringer of Brasstown, granddaughter & husband, Eunavee (Larry) Mease of Hayesville, great-granddaughters & husbands, Bunny (Robby) Williams, Leah (Casey) Henderson, great great-granddaughters, Amber Williams, Alicia Williams, great great granddaughter, Emily Williams all of Young Harris, GA.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dallas Crowder and Reverend Aud Brown officiataing. Music will be provided by Geneva and Diane Crowder . Pallbearers will be Larry Mease, Casey Henderson, Robby Williams, David Hyatt, David Hyatt, Jr. and Bass Hyatt. Burial will follow in the Ogden Cemetery.
The family will recive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
