Hunnie Beth Lance, age 29, of Hayesville, NC passed away October 8, 2009 at Mission Hospital in Asheville with her family and fiancé, Christopher Blaylock by her side, following a life long battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

She was born on December 26, 1979 in Cherokee County, NC, the daughter of Billy and Tracy Lance. She was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Society, member of Eta Tau Chapter of the Alpha Beta Gamma International also elected into the National Vocational Technical Honor Society. She was named to the National Deans List in 2001-2002, crowned 1st runner up for Miss Tri County. Graduated from Tri-County Community College with Associate in Applied Business Administration. She had been set aside for membership at Rowling Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include: parents, Billy and Tracy Lance.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, 2009 at 7:00 PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Burrell and Rev. Lee Tanner officiating. Pallbearers will be; Steve Lance, Gavin Huskins, Andy Cordin, Josh Cordin, Matt Cordin and Shannon "Bo" Jones. Honoray pallbearers, Jeremy Lance, Chris Bird, B.J. and Benji Garrett. Burial will follow Saturday morning in the Roberson Family Cemetery with Greg Huskins and Terry Stiles officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel Friday from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to help defray funeral expenses
