Ida Almeda Dean

Miss Ida Almeda Dean, age 70 of Roswell, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Brightmoor Hospice facility in Griffin, GA. Miss Dean was born March 18, 1943 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late James Horace Dean and the late Bessie Watts Dean Jenkins. She was Baptist in faith. In addition to her parents, Ida was preceded in death by brother, Gilbert Young Dean, sister, Shirley Dean Luffman, sister, Elizabeth Dean Wyatt, and brother, Horace Frank Dean. Ida enjoyed shopping, gardening and doing floral arrangements. In her younger years she liked doing crafts and giving them to family members. She liked photography, she took many pictures in her lifetime. She also enjoyed researching her families ancestry, she was the one that kept the family in contact.

Survivors include brother, Thomas Dean, brother, Louie Frank Dean, sister, Sue Gilliam, brother, Ted Dean, many nieces and nephews and friends, Diane Hill, and Pamela Paige.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Pastor John Nance officiating. Music provided by Kendra Nance. Interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Monday, September 2, 2013 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
