Irene D. Barnes

Irene D. Barnes, age 90 Years of Ducktown, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Mrs. Barnes was born February 21, 1926 in Fannin Co., GA to the late George Washington Deal and the late Stell Louise Cochran Deal. She was a member of Mount View Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Albert Jackson Barnes, brothers, Hayden Deal and Clyde Deal, sisters, Josie Mae Gilbert and Ida Louise Barnes.

Survivors include: son, Larry Barnes, daughters, Kathy Richie, Kelly Stiles, Gloria Jean Pless, Barbara Matteson, sister, Ruby Ensley, brother, Rev. Lloyd Deal, twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Funeral services: Saturday, January 28, 2017 2:00PM at the Finch Cochran Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Payne and Rev. Gerald Payne officiating. Music provided by Stephanie Ensley and the Deal Family. Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Finch Cochran Funeral Home Saturday 12:00 Noon till the funeral hour .
