Irene Johnson Woody

Irene Johnson Woody, age 86 of Blue Ridge, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Pruitt Health Care. Mrs. Woody was born May 4, 1931, in Mineral Bluff, GA to the late Avery Millholland and the late Pearl Henry Millholland. She was a member of Toccoa Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo, crossword puzzles, cooking and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, L.D. Johnson and Merrill Woody, brothers, Bill Holland, Clinton Holland, Roy Millholland, Paul Millholland, Clifford Holland, Wayne Millholland, and Clarence (Elmer) Millholland, and sister and brother in law, Frank and Effie Lindsay.

Survivors include: son, Glynn (Lisa) Johnson, grandchildren, Michelle (Franklin) Burk, Stephanie Johnson, Heather Johnson, great-grandchildren, Kayden Patterson, Franklin Burk, Jr., Cole Burk, Rylee Burk, and Kylee Ingle, sister in law, Polly Millholland, brother & sister in law, Lloyd & Carol Millholland, and several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services: Sunday, October 15, 2017, at 3:00 pm from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Ritter and Rev. Terry Thrasher officiating. Music will be provided by Robert Buchanan Interment will follow in the Toccoa Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Kayden Patterson, Mike Roberts, Marty Roberts, Mike Millholland, Tony Millholland, Scott Millholland, Stevie Holland, and Joe Holland.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Saturday, October 14, 2017, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
