James Donald Walker

James Donald Walker, age 83 of Murphy, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Donald Walker was born December 24, 1933, in Bellview, KY to Charles and Lois Walker of Bellview, KY. Education included New Port High School, class of 1952 and University of Cincinnati School of Engineering. Mr. Walker was a manufacturing engineer. He retired from Lockheed Martin in 1991, Orlando, FL. Survivors include wife, Mary Walker of over 40 years, Two sons, Steven, from his first marriage; and Paul, from his present marriage; 5 Grandchildren. Mr. Walker has requested cremation with no service. Mr. Walker's ashes will be spread at St. George Island, Florida at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy, NC.
