James Edward Ramey

James Edward Ramey, age 72 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Monday, October 12, 2020, at his home. Mr. Ramey was born September 10, 1948, in Atlanta, GA to the late Robert Ramey and the late Helen Imogene Ramey. James enjoyed hunting and watching The Andy Griffith Show and Gunsmoke. He was also enjoyed NASCAR as a fan of Dale Earnhardt and Dale Jr. as well as NFL Football. He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Jerry Winn; and his uncle, James Serritt.

Survivors include: son, Edward Ramey, daughter, Shannon (Brent) Sharpe, step-son, Greg (Suzy) Lowery, step-daughter, Stephanie (Joey) Ensley, daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Hackler, grandchildren, Helen Ramey, Ashley Butler, Shianne Ramey, Hunter Ramey, Brandon Ramey, Cody Ramey, Jazzmine Barton, Blake Sharpe, Casadi Sharpe, and Dylan Sharpe, great-grandchildren, Aniston Grace Graham, Cayson Ramey, Ciara Butler, and Pierce Butler.

Graveside services: Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Majestic Cemetery in McCaysville, GA with the Rev. Joey Ensley officiating. Interment will follow in Majestic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Greg Lowery, Helen Ramey, Hunter Ramey, Brandon Ramey, Cody Ramey, James Lowery.
