James Harold Gladson, age 75, of Murphy, NC passed away Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Murphy Medical Center.
Harold was born on Friday, March 23, 1934 in Cherokee County, NC, to James and Pearl Towler Gladson. He was a member and deacon of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and was an active Gideon.. He was preceded in death by, brother, Kenneth Gladson, sisters, Kathaleen Ramsey and Sue Singleton.
Survivors include: wife Betty Gladson of the home; daughters, Sharon Stiles of Hampton, Ga, , son, David Gladson of Atlanta, granddaughter, Tiffany Stiles of Marietta, granddaughter, Candie Stiles (Jeff ) Shahlaie of Atlanta, great-granddaughter, Maddox Falconer, sister, Christine (Gaines) Jones of Lothinia, GA.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Shope , Rev. Steve Ware , and Rev. Jerry Karnes Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to the Gideons International P.O. Box 164 Murphy, NC 28906
