Mr. James Oliver Porter, age 54 of Blue Ridge, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mr. Porter was born June 24, 1958 in Lincoln Park, MI to the late Lloyd E. and Jennie Bryant Porter, Sr. He was a baker by trade and worked with Ingles.
Survivors include: brother, Lloyd (Brenda) Ernest Porter Jr., sister, Barbara (James) Applewhite, sister, Cynthia (Wayne) Weinfurter, aunt & loving caregiver, Kathy Porter, nieces & nephews: James & Melissa Applewhite, Jennie & Tommy Williams, Elizabeth & Dustin Campbell, Lloyd III & Davella Porter, Ronald C. Porter, Sarah & Herb Rousey, Lisa Mess, Tamara Thompson & Terrance White; great nieces: Savanah, Payton & Cadence Applewhite, Rayeanne & Delanie William, Olivia Mess, Lindsay Wyatt; great nephews: Christian Wyatt & Ivan Rogers.
Funeral services: Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Applewhite officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Friday, June 29, 2012 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
