Jeffery Maurice Free

Jeffery M. Free, age 52 of Hiawassee, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012.. Mr. Free was born August 27, 1959 in Gainesville, GA. Jeff was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Ledford Free.

Survivors include: father, A.J. Free of Hiawassee, daughter, Chasity Brook Free, Brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Debbie Free of Young Harris, ex-wife, Debbie Daniels Free Keys and her husband, Donald of Young Harris, Special Friends, Charlie and Bernice Shelton and Anthony and Lisa Taylor, grandchildren, Makenzie Carroll and Caden Casey, nephews, Billy Shay and Candace Free and Cullen and Griffen Allen.

Funeral services: Friday, January 20, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee with the Rev. Jimmy Rogers and Rev. Ricky Rogers officiating. Music provided by: , Jane and Linda Hunter and Freida Nicholson. Interment will follow in the Joab Ledford Cemetery. Pallbearers: Billy Shay Free, Jack Knight, Wayne Barter, Anthony Taylor, Jerry Rogers and Donald Keys. Honorary pallbearers: Charlie Shelton and Ray Ledford.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Thursday, January 19, 2012 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
