Joan Ibsen

Joan Ibsen, age 74, of Hayesville, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at her home.

Joan was born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 28, 1941, a daughter of the late Frank Yurek and Rose Jeleniowski Yurek. Besides her father, Joan had been preceded in death by a brother, Ron Yurek. Joan and her husband had lived in Hayesville since 2001, and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Joan will be tenderly remembered and greatly missed, especially by her family: husband, Jim, of Hayesville; daughter, Jennifer Gianelli, of Alpharetta, Georgia, and daughter, April Warner, of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren: Gavin Gianelli, Julia Gianelli, Aidan Gianelli, Nash Warner, and Trent Warner.

Funeral services for Joan have been scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., to be held in the Chapel of Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home in Niles, Illinois. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Maryhill Catholic Cemetery in Niles.
