Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces the death of Mr. John Taylor Howell, age 80, of Brasstown Manor in Hiawassee, Georgia, who passed away on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021.
John was a native of Beaumont, Texas, and was a son of the late John Paul Howell and the late Katherine Taylor Howell. Besides his parents, he had been preceded in death by his wife, Gretchen Lynn Vanderboegh Howell. John was a former member of First Baptist Church of Blairsville.
Surviving family members include son, John C. Howell (Rev. Dr. Dustin Trowbridge), and daughter, Katherine Howell (Kevin Fogg); brother, Thomas Howell (Jane D. Howell); and grandchildren: Lily and Jackson Fogg.
