He was born January 1, 1922, son of the late Burley M. Thomas and Minnie B Harper. Thomas .
He was a member and Deacon of Morganton Baptist Church and a member of the Ocoee Masonic Lodge. He's a retired foreman from Tenn. Chemical Company.
Surviving are: wife, Dorothy (Dot) Thomas, daughter & son-in-law, Glenda & Danny Puckett, daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Sammy Long, daughter & son-in-law, Teresa & Mike Williams, brother & sister in law, Ulas & Sheila Thomas, sister, Hazel Cole, sister & brother in law, Evelyn & Ernie Yana, sister in law, Marie Thomas, sister in law, Wilma Thomas, grandson, Steven Anthony Wright, granddaughter, Tammy L. Long, grandson, Russell Williams, granddaughter, Gretchen Williams Mathias, granddaughter, LeAnna M. Long & ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by father, Burley M Thomas, mother, Minnie B. Thomas, brother, Porter A. Thomas, brother, Howard Oliver Thomas, brother, Freddie Thomas, sister, Nebraska Thomas Pickelsimer, brother in law, Fred Pickelsimer, brother in law, C.L. Cole.
Friends will be received Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home.
Services will be held Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 2:00pm in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.with Rev. Keith Jones and Dr. Phill D. Thomas. Interment will follow in the Morganton Baptist Church Cemetery.
