June E Hamby, 73 years old of Mineral Bluff, GA, passed away December 20, 2009.

She was born in Cherokee Co, NC, June 28, 1936 the daughter of L.C. Hamby and Cordie Hamby.

She was a member of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cherokee County, retired from Levi in Blue Ridge, enjoyed hunting, fishing, flowers and watching the Atlanta Braves, the Falcons and the Georgia Bull Dogs.

Surviving are nephew, Bradley Davis and a host of neices & nephews; Carlton Davis, Tim Allen, Jason Hamby, Justin Hamby, Mancker Thomas, Steve Stiles, Scott Shields, Bobby Joe Shields, Jordan Johnson.

She was preceded in death by: father, L.C. Hamby, mother, Cordie Payne Hamby, brother, Wayne Hamby, brother, Millard Hamby, brother, Maynard Hamby, sister, Eulalah Jantsen, sister, Vaul Thomas, sister, Velma Davis, sister, Delsie Hamby, sister, Lamana Davis, sister, Beatrice Frankum, sister, Alma May, & sister, Pearl Stiles.

Friends will be received Monday, December 21, 2009 from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home in Blue Ridge, GA.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 2:00 in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Weldon Davis officiating. Singing by, Kathy Allen. Serving as pallbearers are: Carlton Davis, Tim Allen, Jason Hamby, Justin Hamby, Mancker Thomas, Steve Stiles, Scott Shields, Bobby Joe Shields, Jordan Johnson.

Interment will follow in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
