Mrs. Kathryn "Kitty" Mcclain, age 85 of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on January 10, 2021.

Kitty was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on May 13, 1935 to James & Marie Lytle. She graduated from William Penn H.S. and married her high school sweetheart, Richard McClain in 1953. She was a homemaker who began raising her six children in Fishing Creek Valley and later at Lake Meade, Pennsylvania. Her children and grandchildren became well known in the Bermudian Springs area for excellence in wrestling, football, music and band front. In 1983 Kitty moved to Rotunda, Florida and spent nearly 30 years enjoying family and friends. She participated in numerous church choirs and enjoyed involvement in musical events. Kitty had an eye for detail and a strong ability to organize and plan. Her husband, Dick was more even keeled and provided the balance that allowed them to be a great team. Throughout the years, Kitty & Dick traveled extensively visiting destinations across the United States and overseas. She was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church and sang soprano in the choir.

She will be warmly remembered by all who knew her, but especially missed by her six children: Diane (Dennis) Hollenbaugh, Scott McClain (Peggy), Shawn (Wendy) McClain Dean (Kim) McClain Lori (Martin) Mummert, and Mark (Buddy) McClain. Also, sharing in her legacy are 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McClain; her parents; and her sister, Doris Yohn.
