Kenneth Allen

Mr. Kenneth Allen, age 88 of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at his home. Mr. Allen was born July 14, 1930, in Isabella, TN to the late Elbert Allen and the late Tilda Stewart Allen. A member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Ethel Prince, Ida Lou Bryant, Oma Lee Watts, Mary Lee Stiles and three brothers, Sam Allen, Wade Allen, and Ed Allen. Kenneth worked for Collins and Aikman in Dalton for many years. He was a talented musician having learned to play several different instruments. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing music, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include loving wife, Linda Lee Allen, daughter, Connie (Charles) Bivens, daughter, Brenda (Ron) Stephens, one brother, Jim (Grace) Allen, grandson, Adam (Misty) Bivens, granddaughter, Miranda (Jason) Belcher, five great-grandchildren, Jaycie Belcher, Sophia Belcher, Leia Belcher, Lucas Belcher, and Charlie Bivens. Also, several nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Joe Cochran officiating. Music provided by Bill and Scott Bryant. Interment will follow in the Hot House Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Charles Bivens, Adam Bivens, Ron Stephens, Tommy Taylor, Daniel Tuck, and Tyler Tuck.
The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home on Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 12-2 pm.
