Lerlia Eller Bright, age 82, of Hiawassee, GA passed away October 31, 2009 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home in Haiwassee, GA .
Mrs. Bright was born on September 23, 1927 in Towns County, GA, to Alfred and Dessie Gibson Eller. She was a member of an Independent Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing, church work and helping others. Mrs. Bright's husband of 64 years, Rev. Kreed Bright, passed away on November 2, 2009.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Patsy Bright of Conyers, GA, son, Ronnie Bright of Haiwassee, GA, son, Danny Bright of Scottdale, GA; daughter and fiance, Carolyn Jordan and Ray Insley of Hiawassee, GA and daughter and son- in- law, Joyce and Larry Grayson of Alpharetta, GA Sisters, Erie Hunter of Clarksville, GA, Mary Owenby of Haiwassee, GA, and Totsy Anderson of Hiawassee, GA; brothers, Odell Eller of Jacksonville, FL, A.L Eller of Young Harris, GA, and Guy Eller of Haiwassee, GA; grandchildren, Jeff Jordan, Larry Bright, Kim Bright, Jocelyn Newell, Jeremy Bright, and Paul Grayson and great grandchildren, John Mason Bright, Travis Carter Bright, Taylor Jordan and Chase Jordan .
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Mt Pleasant Church of God (old church) with Rev. Glenn Eller and Rev. Jarvis Bennett officiataing. Music will be provided by Lacy and Tony Ford, Pat and Mondy Montieth, Diane Kent and Golda Schubert. Pallbearers will be Roger Bright, Ronnie Bright, Danny Bright, Ray Insley, Jeff Jordan and Jermey Bright. The body will lie instate at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Cemetery.
The family will recive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home in Hiawassee, Monday from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM.
