Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Mrs. Linda Bauerle, age 73 of Blairsville who passed away on September 15th, 2021.
Linda was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 3rd, 1948 to the late Stanley and Lillian Strupagiel. She enjoyed working for 14 years at State Attorneys Office in Fort Myers, FL and started early retirement at 60 when she moved to Blairsville, GA where her and her husband of 52 years, Karl were full time residents for 14 years.
Linda enjoyed playing her dulcimer, she loved flowers, gardening, and yoga. She also enjoyed traveling and she loved attending unity churches throughout her travels. She was well known for volunteering for 12 years at Union General Hospital’s Auxillary. Karl and Linda dressed up as Mr. and Mrs. Claus for the seasonal highlight for the medical services in the Union General Hospital as well. Family and friends were very important to Linda and she took great joy in being with her loved ones and valued their relationships. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lillian & Stanley Strupagiel; daughter, Jana Johnson; and grandson, Anthony Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Karl Bauerle; daughter, Heidi (John) Gwaltney of Suwannee, GA, Kristin (Rod) Cress of Fort Myers, FL; son in law JR Johnson, and grandchildren, Heather (23), Alex (21), Blake (20), David (19), Grant (18), Hope (15), Tyler (12), Harper (3), and Summer (1).
Memorial Services are being planned and will be announced at a later date.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Vogel State Park or to NE GA Medical Center Hospice Department in memory of Mrs. Linda Bauerle.
